What is a crypto API?

Crypto API: A way for a program (a bot, an app) to ask another service for data, such as a token's price.

Crypto apps use an RPC node (for example Helius) to read the blockchain and send transactions, and a data API (DexScreener, Birdeye, CoinGecko) for prices, pools and holders. Free tiers limit how many calls you can make.

Example

MemeSonar uses Helius for wallets and DexScreener for prices.
