Best rug checkers for Solana tokens in 2026

Prices checked 1 November 2026 · 6 tools compared · MemeSonar research
Short answer

Use RugCheck (free) on every Solana token: it shows mint and freeze authority, liquidity and top holders in seconds. Add Bubblemaps to see whether the top holders are one team, and Solsniffer for a second score. No scanner sees the creator's history, which in our data was the strongest warning: tokens from creators with 20+ earlier launches doubled 1.4% of the time.

A rug checker reads a token's contract and holders and flags the usual tricks: the creator can still mint new tokens, can freeze your wallet, holds most of the supply, or the liquidity is tiny or not locked. All the tools below are free for single checks. They catch the obvious rugs; the quiet ones need context they don't show.

  • Liquidity at least $10k in a real pool
  • Creator's earlier launches
  • Learns rug profiles daily

Watch out: Our tool, invite only, Solana only.

How to choose

  1. Solana tokens: RugCheck and Solsniffer are built for Solana; Token Sniffer and De.Fi are mostly for EVM chains.
  2. Read the reasons, not only the score. 'Mint authority on' or 'freeze authority on' is a hard no; 'low holders' on a 5-minute-old token is normal.
  3. Check holders as a group. Ten wallets funded from one source are one holder. Bubblemaps shows that.
  4. Look at the creator. Open the creator's wallet on Solscan: many earlier tokens that died is the biggest red flag in our data.
  5. Use an API if you scan many tokens. RugCheck and GoPlus have APIs for bots and dashboards.

FAQ

Is RugCheck free?

Yes. Paste any Solana token address at rugcheck.xyz for a risk report; it also has a public API.

What does a rug checker check?

Mint and freeze authority, liquidity size and whether LP tokens are burned or locked, top holder share, and known risky patterns. Better ones also show insider and linked wallets.

Can a token pass a rug check and still rug?

Yes. A creator can sell their supply slowly, or a group of linked wallets can dump together. Contract checks catch mechanics, not intentions; that is why creator history and holder clusters matter.

What is the best rug checker for Solana?

RugCheck for the contract report, Bubblemaps for holder clusters. Use both; they answer different questions.

MemeSonar puts wallet tracking, influencer calls and a rug check on every new Solana token in one app. Invite only.
