Short answer

If you only set up five things: Phantom (free wallet) plus a hardware wallet (from $50) for savings, DexScreener (free) for charts, RugCheck (free) before every buy, a tracker like Cielo or GMGN (free tiers) for wallets, and Jupiter for cheap swaps. Pay for a terminal (about 1% per trade) or Nansen ($49/month) only when you know what they add for you.

How we compare tools

FAQ

What crypto tools do I need as a beginner?

A wallet (Phantom), a chart site (DexScreener), a rug checker (RugCheck) and a hardware wallet once you hold real money. All but the hardware wallet are free.

Which crypto tools are free?

DexScreener, RugCheck, Bubblemaps (basic), Kolscan, Arkham's explorer, Phantom, Solflare, Jupiter and the free tiers of Cielo, TradingView, Helius and CoinGecko.

Are paid crypto tools worth it?

Only when they replace work you already do. A terminal saves seconds on new tokens, Nansen saves hours of wallet research, an API saves building your own indexer. If you can't name the saving, stay free.

Do you get paid by these tools?

No. There are no affiliate or referral links on these pages.

MemeSonar puts wallet tracking, influencer calls and a rug check on every new Solana token in one app. Invite only.
